Health Visitors
The Health Visitors are specialised nurses who assess the physical, emotional and social health needs of families with young children. They provide a service for all age groups promoting health and preventing ill health. They give immunisations to babies as well as advice on child growth and development. They are experts on infant feeding and carry out many screening procedures on children under five. Your doctor and health visitor at both surgeries hold joint child development clinics as follows: -
Springfield Road Surgery – Thursday morning 9.30am – 12.30pm
Riverdale Surgery - Thursday morning 10.00am – 12.00pm
If your child is registered with the practice you will automatically receive an appointment to attend one of these clinics. The practice strongly advise all parents to comply with these appointments, however if the above day or time is unsuitable, please contact the surgery to arrange an alternative appointment.
If you require information from the health visitor outside of the above times please contact them on the numbers provided below.
