Booked Surgery, for both doctors and nurses are by appointment only

• Mornings  - Open Surgery - Closes at 10.00am
• Afternoon appointments from 3.30pm – 5.30pm

Please note above surgery times are open to change, please check with reception.

Open Surgery runs from 9.00am – You need to be at the surgery before 10.00am

 Please contact reception team for further details.  Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.  Due to the nature of open surgery, you may have to wait to see the doctor. 

OPEN SURGERY - The Practice endeavour to have Open surgery every morning at Riverdale Surgery and Monday to Thursday at Springfield Road.  During holidays this may not always be possible (Open surgery may be at one site only).  PLEASE ENSURE YOU CHECK BEFORE ARRIVING AT THE SURGERY

Appointments can also be booked online. To register, ask our receptionists.

When you book an appointment online you will receive confirmation which you can print off and bring with you when you attend the surgery. There is no need to reconfirm.

Home Visits

It is possible to see several patients in the surgery with good diagnostic facilities in the time taken to do one home visit. We ask that you come to the surgery if at all possible. Please make all requests for home visits before 10.30am as this will help us to organise our day in order to give you a better service. However, if you are too ill to come to the surgery then you will be seen at home.

To request a home visit please be ready to give the name and address of the patient and a brief description of their symptoms. This allows the more serious problems to be dealt with first.

If an emergency requiring a home visit occurs during doctors surgery the receptionist will let you speak to the doctor.

Telephone Advice

Some doctors prefer not to be disturbed during consultation for telephone advice, as interruptions during surgery may be upsetting for both doctor and patient.  Please check with reception staff and they will advise the best time for you to speak to the doctor.
 
The practice nurse is available each morning between 9.00am and 12.30pm and each afternoon between 2.00pm and 5.30pm (except Wednesday).  This may vary during holiday periods.
